It's good to have a taste of the moments that belie the everyday, that remind us of, and deliver us to, the great seething beauty, the giddiness, of life. What attracts me to the cool in particular is its passion coupled with its discretion, an abundance tempered by a certain certainty that one is powerful, that one is capable: that one is, alas, oneself.
